# Spot connector

> Assign adnetwork spots to user-defined groups.

The [spot connector](https://adgreg.com/dashboard/spotconnector) is split into two sections: spot group management at the top, and your website list below.

## Creating spot groups

In the **Create Spots** input, type one or more group names separated by commas and click **Save**. Group names are up to you, use labels that reflect the ad format or placement, such as `popunder`, `header_banner`, or `preroll`.

  Spot groups are shared across all your websites. Create them once here and reuse them when configuring each website.

## Assigning spots to groups

Your websites (configured in the [website connector](/configuration/website-connector)) appear in the **Your Websites** list. Click any website row to open its spot configuration.

Inside the configuration, each connected adnetwork is shown as a collapsible section. Click **Fetch Spots** to load all spots that belong to the adnetwork sites you linked to this website. For each spot returned, use the dropdown in the **Spot Type** column to assign one of your groups.

  Spots that are left without a group assigned will be **completely ignored** by Adgreg.

When you are done, click **Save Changes**.
